I truly admire people who are themselves 100% of the time. You know the type of person who does NOT care what others think about them? The type of person who says, “This is who I am… take it or leave it.” The type of person who always, unapologetically lives their truth.
I have a handful of sister-friends who I love dearly, and today while I was browsing the aisles of HomeSense, one of them called and we spent sometime catching up.
I’m facing a dilemma and running out of time friends. This is no small decision – it could literally impact the life and destiny of another human being. I don’t mean to sound so dramatic but I’m being for real here! Continue reading What’s In A Name?
I apologize as it’s been a long minute since I have posted on the blog! Our family moved from Manitoba to Ontario and between settling into a new space, unpacking, taking care of a toddler and battling 3rd trimester-ness (is that a word?), posting kinda sorta took a bit of a back seat.
However something happened yesterday which shook me to the core and I would like to share it with you.
So I worked the overnight shift last night, and because my home is currently filled with a flurry of activity, my husband booked a hotel for me to stay and rest before meeting up with him and my toddler later.

My favourite type of book is one that really delves into strained interpersonal relationships. I mean, who doesn’t love a story on complicated family drama or sibling rivalry? Bonus points for interesting historical context as well.
Kane and Abel by Jeffrey Archer and East of Eden by John Steinbeck were both novels I could not put down despite having a pile of textbooks to get through during medical school. I also love books by Khalid Hosseini like, And The Mountains Echoed.
Cutting for Stone by Abraham Verghese… Oh my goodness! Epic! Wait, does that one count since it has quite a bit of medicine in it?
I have a confession to make. I’m being unfaithful…
… to my job and current career. I’m looking outside of Medicine for professional fulfilment *gasp*
